Is there any nursing journal research? Well, nursing journals generally don't do the research but they often print research and study results. Try AJN (American Journal of Nursing) for one. There are so many journals I can't list them all. Use the link below that I've given you to take you to Wikipedia and a comprehensive list of
nursing journals.

http://www.en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nursing_journal

This next link takes you to AJN and if you scroll down you'll see an issue that includes an article on Kawasaki's. It's available for purchase. At most journal online sites, you can view articles if you're a subscriber.

It's a great choice. Justin and Dr Noodle do not know what they are talking about. If you get bored with a Ninja 250 inside of 2 years you haven't learned how to ride it properly. It's more fun to ride a low-powered bike fast and well than it is to ride a 600 slowly and badly. And a 250R is faster than about 97% of the cars out there.

I can't agree with Mr. Smartypants enough - your first bike you are going to beat the heck out of, no matter how conservatively you ride it. When you take the fairings off for the first time and accidently (but also predictablely) strip the bolts, your heart is going to break, let alone anything mechanical. Get a used bike cheap to start, it'll probably last you a couple years at least before you run into mechanical problems, that if you are patient, you can probably fix yourself and will be a more knowledgable rider for it. Honda engines generally speaking do last a long time, I trust them.

The 250R has SOME balls, I'll give it that much, but you'll be bored of it's power limits within a year at the most. Look at 500-600cc 4 cylinder engines, those bikes will keep you entertained far longer. Searching on ebay with those search-criteria (engine size, year, cost) will help educate you on what the going rate for a decent starter bike of that size is. Just keep searching every day like you are window shopping, and don't buy anything on impulse. chances are you'll regret it,

No! I cannot say it again, they are cheap but there is a reason they are. They are super small, nutless bikes. You will look terrible on one. Get a 86 honda 600cc or somthing like that to learn on, I am not talking crotch rocket either. Harley style, they may not 'look' new school but ill tell you what they are a lot more comfortable for you and if you giving a ride to some sweet thang. Plus it gets you used to a heavier bike and teaches you how to handle it, crotch rockets are too light and too powerful to be a first bike. (Not the 250, yuck). I am sorry if your set on that bike but I would suggest not getting it.

Yes sir it is. Very reliable as well.
If your new to sportbikes 250r is the way to go. Its not insanley powerful like haybusa's and its far easier to handle. :) Note though you'll get bored of it after some years and will want something with more power soon lol.

It's a good bike. Very light, very easy to manage, so it would be good for learning. BUT a 250cc bike doesn't have the poop to keep up highway speeds. If you never planned to go faster than 50mph, the Ninja 250 is all the motorcycle you'll ever need. But if your plans include the occasional long trip on the highway, you want something at least 500cc.

Look at a Suzuki GS500 (Google it and have a look at a picture). It's practically the same thing, just a big bigger. Physically and weight-wise, it's not -that- much bigger. The Suzuki SV650 is also good, also the Honda 599 Hornet (CB600). There are a lot of 'standard' bikes in this category.

Also I would recommend against buying a new bike to learn to ride. You're going to be hard on your first bike. You will probably abuse the clutch, and you might even drop it once or a few times. Learn on a used bike and after 6 months or a year you can sell it for about what you paid for it, and by then you'll know better what you really want.

Power Commander 3. Dont use the pre-set maps, get the bike dyno'd and have a tech set the mapping to where you want the optimum performance for the way you ride.
